New Freeland Single - 'Under Control'

You've been waiting a long time for the follow up to Freeland's 'Now & Them', and it is finally here with new album Cope™ - due out this summer! Adam's has written about it at his Myspace Blog

First single 'Under Control' (listen at the site now) features the vocals of Kurt Baumann, who will be fronting the Freeland live band. Spinnerette / Distillers guitarist Tony Bevilacqua ignites incendiary guitar angles as counterpoint to the kind of jaded lyrics. Marilyn Manson/Nine Inch Nails cohort Twiggy Ramirez lays down a driving, ominous bassline, and DEVO legend Jerry Casale provides background vocals! (Watch out for more exciting collaborations on forthcoming singles). Alex Metric, Zombie Nation, Goldenbug & Evil Nine provide brilliant mixes, and we are giving subscribers to the database the chance to download the Alex Metric remix here now.

Evil Nine

Next single is 'Icicles' with remixes by Adam Freeland / Unkle / Shir Khan and a 'Graveyard Smash' from the Evilsf, it is released in April. Coming soon is a brand new club track 'The Power' which those who've seen them DJ recently will have heard.

Go to the Free Stuff section of the Evil Nine website to download the Acapella of 'They Live!'. Use it in your DJ sets or do your own remix of the track! We have also put up an mp3 ringtone of the vocal loop for your mobile phone enjoyment...

Alex Metric

We have just mastered the new single from Alex - 'The Head Straight EP' with three new tracks. He's done a medley which you can hear on our myspace. Also make sure to check his quite brilliant remix of Ladyhawke's 'Paris Is Burning' which will be out on Modular soon; listen at Alex's myspace

Marine Parade Events

Anyone going to SXSW in Austin, Texas this year can see the Freeland live band alongside Evil Nine (live) and others on both 19th & 20th March. Evil Nine have just finished a brilliant tour of USA DJ shows and will be back with a full live tour soon. By all accounts Igloo Festival in Montreal was a brilliant experience -20 degrees isn't too cold for an outdoor festival for fans in Canada!
